Hope everyone, whatever holidays you celebrate, are having a good time/had a good time/are enjoying time off if you have it :)

Now I just have to get on with polishing and posting bits for [community profile] fandom_stocking : if anyone wants to get involved, head over there and have a look at peeps lists and see if there's anyone you could write/make for :D

originally my subject line was going to be a line from the preston version of Cinderella - but then it's much colder and icer now and [livejournal.com profile] charlies_dragon has the post it note note that has the full sentence on ;)

I has received lovely cards from [livejournal.com profile] thinkpink20, [livejournal.com profile] trowel_queen and [livejournal.com profile] flubber2kool *hugs the girlies*.

There has also been snow (more snow than has been seen in the last ten years of living in Lancashire o.O) - and both of the little dogs have now seen, eaten and been defeated by it. Well that and the garlic they retrieved from the vegetable rack - apparently garlic baffles huskies...who knew? Onions on the other hand are only to be used for football, while carrots and potatoes are eaten freely.

cut to save peeps from 'the drama' of my life ;) - and mention of HSM *shudders* )

First a quick reminder - if you want a card drop me a comment with your address here, comments are of course screened on that post.

Now - my wishlist: (if you have one, link me to it and I'll see what I can do ;)):

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a ____ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friends list (or friends-friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream pure bred Basset Hound for free--do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out,it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

It's that time of the year again!

If you want a christmas card from me, drop a comment on this post with your address (comments are screened - hopefully if LJ co-operates) or alternately drop me an email with details (LJ or Gmail (weaselett @ googlemail dot com).

If anyone wants my address just ask (if you already have my lancashire address its the one to send anything to - as I'm going back there for the holidays ;))
