One of the jobs at the moment is checking for hedgehogs/random cats before releasing the hounds into the garden......

I opened the door, and discovered the patio covered in blood and bits of something else - five minutes of poking, I discovered that the bits were the remnants of worms (I was concerned I had somehow missed the dogs up to something earlier....though how I would have missed THAT I have no idea but I honestly did not think worms bleed? I've never seen a worm bleed, but apparently, they have red blood, go figure o.o)

Apparently the hedgehog decided to massacre 18 worms on the patio, mere feet away from the unlocked cat flap......which given the crazed charge around the garden by the hounds, was at least partly witnessed by them *face palms*

The 90s

Ok so spotted the video of mr blobby on the big fat quiz of the nineties (and spent five minutes in tears of laughter)

What does it say that, when I was a kid, we all considering Barney (the purple american dinosaur) to be terrifying, and totally a means of torture - but we all loved mr blobby?

Like literally, we liked Mr Blobby. A weird, crazy eyed, creepy, guy in a smushy suit who used to do decidedly dodgy things to people. But we were freaked out by Barney the Dinosaur.

Honestly, what does that say?

(I find Mr Blobby funny now, in that 'OMG what even' - but totally see why adults were always semi disturbed. Mr Blobby says a lot about the UK. I am sorry world, kinda, that we inflicted him on you. I mean there was even the number one song. Noel Edmunds House Party was a huge thing.)

If you don't know what I'm talking about - enjoy the ignorance, I warn you now, do not go looking for the video. It is twisted.

I have come to realization that MCU now officially resembles the Marvel comics as much as Hachi a dog's tale resembles the true life story that inspired it.

LMAO

(And I apologise for the terrible spelling and grammar in my previous post - I blame the cold of doom - and continue to hope it shall pass soon)

Okay - so Atlantis is still an iffy subject for me - some new little things have emerged that annoy me more *pouts*
behind here to save anyone who's been avoiding spoilers for s4 - it's only little things but still )

In other news - I've started to drag the parents into Heroes (ma likes it - da said the first two episodes were confusing *g*)

And randomly - one of the cows in the field behind the house decided to give birth (she's the only pregnant one out there....it's weird) during heroes - while it was getting way too dark for pictures *pouts*
She seemed to be very confused as to where the heap of wet black fuzz had come from!
Will see if I can get some pictures at some point. But no promises :D.

So the Mummy Returns is on TV and the Dad has decided that if she were younger Rachel Weisz would have been a perfect Elizabeth Swann *g*

Anyhoo - [livejournal.com profile] valeria_sg_1 posted her answers to this on her LJ - so I thought, not being busy I'd do my answers questionnaire thingy )

Update

So I am still alive - if a little tired *g*

I only have this coming week left of my placement then I shall be present online more for three weeks before I go off to do my 'fieldwork' for my dissertation for a week near the end of august.

In the mean time however I have signed up for two ficathons (first time ever - so a little scary - but I WILL get them done *nods*)
I claimed Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves for [livejournal.com profile] reel_sg1 and I get my prompt for [livejournal.com profile] sg1sga_ficathon on wednesday - so much writing ahead what with much of pegasus still to be done - but should be fun.

Saw Hairspray on wednesday - which is a good film *nods* will do a proper review at some point - when the ma hasn't just informed me of an intention to watch 'valiant' which she brought y-day.
weaselett: (simon)
Considering the week I've had - I find it mildly entertaining that the only email I've had today was from Asda - telling me to buy booze, ice cream and chocolate.....

*contemplates* unfortunately due to the nature of the bad this week, I can't do that, and will be paranoid about such things for a while *sighs*

*goes back to eating the last remaining chocolate from my stash*

Okay

So I fail completely on the posting front of recent *g* and it's not likely that it will change for a month or so - I say this due to the fact I have a week before I begin my five weeks worth of work placement - in which time I need to get most of the second episode of Stargate Pegasus finished in a final sense instead of spread around on paper - as well as at least some of the third *g*

So for the next week I am more or less alone in the house as the parentals are in scotland - I do however have the old huskey and the fish to look after. Also - I need to work on my dissertation *eep*

Just a warning/explanation for my upcoming absence. xx

Am back home - have been since sunday evening now - it's a relief- even if it does mean being attacked by multiple animals at odd moments *g* the puppy is still insane and there is still a weird battle for dominance going on between the cats....and the new fish are....odd.

Anyhoo - am all excited about Doctor Who this weekend - especially with the upcoming return of CJH!!! *muffled squee*

I have one little question for you all - who would you cast as a mini-Daniel (Jackson - SG-1) ??
weaselett: (simon)
I should be packing - but am instead ambling around the next and found this test:

So, weaselett, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 1% unique and 10% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy writing). When it comes to friends you are lonely. In terms of the way you relate to people, you believe in give and take. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 20

(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 43% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

Made a trip into Uni today - and was a witness to the insanity that is the Bournemouth Grey Squirrel population.

One of them had climbed a building and was being coaxed down using the patented large poking device out of a window trick - it then made a suicidal leap from the building (third floor level) into a bush (ground level) ignoring the two men holding objects that offered a cushioned landing.
It then made a bunk for it across the car park.

Ah the insanity of wild life *g*

Am trying to revise - I have a little over four hours until my exam - but apparently washing up random bottles and taking photos of the neighbourhood cat is much more interesting *guh* - revision ate my brain *g*

This is what happens when you have two god-awful exams one week then have four days to linger on them before your last exam. You start to wonder if it's even worth the effort of revising and killing your brain. *sighs*

Must revise - don't want to resit.....but oooo - pretty lights *head desk*

Am still trying to get over the fact it snowed....in kent......
*blinks*
yeah - i know - the weasel is a bit behind on commenting on this - but - talking to the da, who was in northern Italy during the week, made it worse.
I mean...there was snow here - but none there???
Worse then that - Gatwick kept opening and closing friday due to snow....*looks truely bemused* this be very very freaky weather.
I could understand the snow, if it had snowed at home (as in Lancashire) but it hasn't. It's snowed in scotland a bit and in northumbria - but not lancashire - yet - it's been snowing...in kent. (I know - it's not unheard of - it just seems....wrong)
*blinks* oooookay - further investigation tells me it has also been snowing in france (not so weird)among other places - but still, none that da could speak of on the Alps. It just seems so wrong for there to have been snow in kent (enough to close over 40 schools) but not much in the part of Italy where the da was.
Ok - my bemusement has been expressed. This year's weather is just odd. *nods*
Oh well - at least it didn't snow here.....

*sniggers*

Dr. Lisa Cuddy
55% Eccentricity, 55% Confidence, 45% Kindness
Congratulations, you're Dr. Lisa Cuddy! You've got a healthy balance of confidence, kindness, and general oddity (because asking a person who works for you to stick a needle in your butt is odd, no matter how hot he may be). You're probably an excellent leader with a good sense of humor. You also probably have a vulnerable side that not many people know about.

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 99% on Eccentricity

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 99% on Confidence
