Never volunteer to take a dog out for a run every morning - especially if the dog in question is a husky. Two mornings in a row now - though on the up side there's none of the beeping you get later in the day and it does seem to be helping her calm down - so worth it, kinda, even if it reminds me how sadly unfit I am these days *g*

I did finish 'Breaking Dawn' and I liked it - not as much as the others - but I didn't hate it, it took a while to get into though. I have also heard about the Midnight Sun situation *winces* I can understand SMeyer's point of view as someone she trusts has betrayed that trust - and as far as the possibly over emotional reaction goes - dude, she's pregnant - no it's not an excuse, it's the truth (personal experience with pregnant people - sometimes the emotions run very high). The wank regarding BD and this should be avoided like a dangerous man eating thing *nods*

Anyhoo - I had fun down south - avoided the banker uncle (who says archaeology's boring o.0) - and got to see Mamma mia! and Wicked - both of which being very good (Mamma mia! is much better as the stage version than the film *nods*). Didn't get to Sutton Hoo though, oh well.

Have also now seen Hellboy 2 :D - tis good *nods*

And I made Vanilla and coconut cakes *mmmmmm* ;D

So due to the horrible weather of last week (well it's been worse - but there is only so much rain a person can take in the summer) - we were spared the hell that had been expected this weekend as the Royal Lancashire Show was cancelled. Don't get me wrong, I feel sorry for the people who've lost money because of it - but they also should have found a better place to move it to (it was the first year that it would have been this close).
Everyone locally was everything they could to make sure they wouldn't have to leave to over the weekend - the main issue being that there is exactly two roads around here and both of those roads were to be used as the route to the royal lancs. *shudders*

Have been watching 'Bonekickers' ok, I watched the first two episodes then mum banished from the tv this week. It's good fun for non archaeologists I have no doubt - but for archaeologists IT BURNS *coughs* - mum got fed up with the constant wincing and muttered comments. So yeah - not on my watching no more - lol.

Also made a trip to see people in town yesterday, got to have a nice hour meeting with both before it was just me and the youngling. It's weird advising someone on Uni choices and what archaeology course and uni might be best *g*

Am rereading Tamora Pierce books still - on the circle of magic books at the mo - as I finally got hold of a copy of 'The Will of the Empress'. They're still good :)

AND - Breaking Dawn's out soon *dances*

That new Knight Rider TV movie?? Much fangirly squee-ing from me - especially with the music (they used the old theme!! which I remember sooooo well - only remixed a little - but still *squee*) *coughs*

It's worth a look *nods*

I am going to hope for more - but if not - am happy anyway (unlike the Bionic woman....which is *winces* yeah.)

Ooo - and slow me - Twilight film promos of the cullens!! Here.

Okay - so it was offered, but I declined going to see the illuminations this year (not that I've ever been....) despite the fact that David Tennant is turning them on this year (I live in constant fear of Gareth Gates....*g*)

Instead I've spent most of today (ok, more or less all of today) watching the Dresden Files - Almost eight episodes watched - only four to go - so I figure I'll wait a little while before I watch those *g*
It's really good (Okay so 'Storm Front' the proper pilot episode wasn't the greatest - but the rest have all been really good *nods*) and I'm going to have to track down the books at some point (when I have a little more money).

I've also gotten into the 'Twilight' novels by Stephenie Meyer (I've read the first one 'twilight' and have ordered (in a moment of weakness) the second 'new moon') and they're good, they have problems but they're good - you get dragged into the story for the first 200 pages - then theres a little gap where it doesn't hold your attention so well - then you get dragged back in. They're worth a try - even if you end up not being interested/hating them.

Otherwise I haven't done too much - partly due to life's current events. Nahani (our 15 year old Husky) died wednesday morning - so we all spent the day hanging around not really sure what to do with ourselves - and for most of yesterday and today we've been keeping an eye on Tala (the puppy) as she's not taken it any better than us really.
Also - my grandfather's still ill, but he's gotten a little worse again but, *fingers crossed* he should be alright.

All in all I'm looking forward to getting out properly tomorrow and searching out some fabric to make my costume/s for Pegasus 3 (seeing Paul McGillion *crosses fingers like a crazy person that he won't suddenly not come*).
Another good thing - I'm going to get a new computer (building an almost all singing all dancing computer is cheaper than buying a decent laptop, so *shrugs*) which should be good *nods*.

Will be posting some more animal pics at some point over the weekend (when photobucket decides to be a little more friendly) - as well as hopefully getting some more fan fic written!
