Am back :)

I had a fun weekend at Pegasus 3 (though I still don't like london) - Torri Higginson, Paul McGillion, Kavan Smith, Andee frizzell, Dean Marshall and Jonathon Woodward are all really nice people (Jonathon was badly jet lagged though so was a little more crazy than normal and he was playing a favourite trick and making everyone think he was drunk *g*).

The costume competition was fun ([livejournal.com profile] charlies_dragon and I managed to get our costumes finished...just - with the help of the lovely [livejournal.com profile] teapot_women) - my brain got a little fried by nervousness and Paul hugging me (and asking me silly questions while hugging me *dies*) - we didn't win anything but it was fun taking part anyhoo :) - the winners made a sam the whale costume, which was very fun ;)

It was really nice to finally meet [livejournal.com profile] fififolle - your costume was fantastic hun - it looked great *nods* :D - hope you had fun on sunday :)

We stayed for both nights this year (less distance to travel - thankfully) - so that was fun too (a little scary at one point - when one of the songs we'd mentioned came on a minute later *g*) - and got to meet some really lovely people!!

I got my group picture along with [livejournal.com profile] charlies_dragon and [livejournal.com profile] teapot_women (with Torri holding one of my little companions and Paul the other - which he then placed on my head) - I was amazingly nervous though *scuffs foot* - I am SUCH a wimp *g*

Much fun was had and I'll write a bit more about it (and maybe post some pics...) tomo - once I've had a bit more sleep ;)

*whimpers* just watched 'be all my sins remembered' SGA season 4 episode 11 (it really doesn't feel like the second part of a two parter) - and all I can think right now is 'damnit no' *sighs* - please can they be using new storylines soon, please?? Oh and stop swapping characters with each other.
One other thing - yay! for the sweet Ronon/Teyla moment.

So yeah - am keeping up top date with Season 4, casually - which is a typically me thing to do (Charmed started to go down hill after s6, but I've seen it all anyway, Babylon 5's last season was.....ummm yeah, CSI: Miami is the only show that I loved that I've ever stopped watching before the show ended)- it's been ok, but I've been finding it hard to feel any real connection to the show these days, apart from disappointment whenever they rehash yet another SG-1 storyline.

Anyone who likes Philip Pullman and has read the Sally Lockhart books? (even if you haven't but like period dramas with a bit of mystery) - the BBC dramas have been good so far, the second was on last week and was really good (even if, as always, my favourite character had a certain thing happen to them, but I'm used to it by now *g*, the list is a long one now *g*) - it's worth watching (and the actors all seem closer to the characters than with *coughs* Northern Ligh...Golden Compass *coughs*)
They're well done as well - am hoping they've done all four (even if it's going to be a year gap between them every time).

In other news - am presently being insane and messing around with fabric and patterns (and the ebil sewing machine) - hopefully *crosses fingers* any of you who are going to Pegasus 3 will see the results, no promises though *g*.

Also, there is one more gift for me to post - but it's taking me a little while to get it all together - hopefully it'll be done before wednesday though *crosses fingers again*

Made Coconut cake yday for Ma (I find it amazingly entertaining that my ma shares her birthday with Joe Flanigan and Paul Mcgillion) and all I know is there is more alcohol in that thing than in the christmas pudding that my brownie leader used to make (ok, so if you didn't light the pudding like you do, it would be the other way around *g*)

Hope everyone's had nice holidays :) x

Am alive - just trying to do my Nano novel *g* - it has to be said though, OCs are so much easier to do than seen once in an episode, but enough that there's something to work from characters....

Am more than a little behind - but it's because I'm still starting - I have major issues starting stuff - opening lines are evil and the first few paragraphs are just that little bit worse - once I get to the 6 age mark I should be fine though... *wills*

I might have done an original fic - but, ummm, I haven't written Colleen in an stupidly long time, so I wasn't confident enough to try. So SG-1/SGA it was *g*

Anyhoo - in the meantime - have been watching stuff (a lot of SG-1 to help with the Nano) - including the latest SGA episode, 'Tabula Rasa', which for me at least is the best episode of the season so far (and I kinda like Katie...)

Mine, [livejournal.com profile] charlies_dragon and [livejournal.com profile] teapot_women's tickets for Pegasus 3 are all sorted so *yay* - just gotta sort out where we're staying now.

Also - if anyone wants to throw prompts at me for fics? Feel free - seriously - I need some writing to break to from the Nano writing - so any prompts for any pairings from the following are more than welcome, I will write them promise :D -
Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, due South, Star Trek The Next Generation, Firefly, torchwood, tru calling, charmed.

Pick a fandom, then give me a prompt, and a pairing, if you want - and I'll do my best. Also, I will be trying to get all of them done by the end of the year.
