(I haven't got a more suitable user pic - dang - lol)
Myself,
charlies_dragon, her brother (a very skeptical brother at that) and
teapot_women went to the second/first (6.30) screening of A Dog's Breakfast on Thursday.
And what can I say, besides, wow. There's a film I have sooooo got to get on DVD. Plus we all loved it - even the brother!
I have this thing, every time I go to see a film I get a bag of Malteasers - I have no idea why - i just do - and every film I go to I finish all but the last few. However, A Dog's Breakfast is the exception. I had more or less the whole bag left afterwards. So yeah - I was laughing so much I didn't snack. This would be a good thing.
I loved this film. It was really funny all the way through, and I just know there's a lot that I didn't see, so more laughs to come on the second viewing no doubt.
It was a mix of a few different things, including monty python and those boys other exploits, but it was fresh and funny, oh so funny.
Everyone was soooooo good in this (god - paul - *giggles* - and I refuse to ruin that bit for anyone - and Chris lol)and they should be sooooo proud of it.
Mars reminded me of both of the brats (more Nahani than Tals, as Tals is slightly more....okay she's completely insane) more or less the whole time and that made me love him all the more (yeah - I wanna meet Mars - I'm sorry but he's so adorable.)
It was brilliant, funny and never got boring, all good things, and also things that lack in a few two many of the comedies that I've seen in recent years. It's also going to be one of those films you can watch over and over (not over doing it - but i think
charlies_dragon may do....) and not have it get old.
It's one of the favourite films now - not the favourite - as it would take a lot to beat Holy Grail (I love that film) - but yup - it's a must see - and i refuse to spoil it for anyone - so no real spoilers - just go watch.
