I can NOT believe this. I really can't. If this is all true, Jesus. The writer's have just shot themselves in the foot.
SGA is going to end up having fair ratings at the beginning of S4 at the best, then IF the rumours about Elizabeth are true? It'll go to almost no one watching. Why? Because there is only so much that we fans can take. Losing Carson is bad enough, even if he returns, somehow, despite DYING - but losing Weir as well? How can they say that that's a GOOD thing, and how can Brad Wright go on to say he can see SGA going on past S4??? Did they get a dumb transplant or something?? I'm sorry, but, recently the eps have been good, but i've had to ignore the nagging, 'i've seen this before' thing more than a few times. But i would have kept watching. But, losing weir? Guh.
The idea of losing Carson had me close to falling off the fence as it was - but that bit of news? I fell off. They can not seriously have Carter come in for 14 eps and have Weir become a recurring character. Why? Because it's like saying, we lost stargate, we have the film, but we really love this one character and we're going to keep going with her.
Originally the excuse seemed to be that they had her signed so they had to use her, but the fact is, they had ALL of the stargate cast signed for a 11th season. Not just Amanda. Plus there have been all of those polls on various places, that have made it pretty clear that of the SG-1 characters that the FANS wanted to see in SGA, she was pretty low.
And they say they listen to the fans. *rolls eyes*

Then - there is of course - 'Unending' - yeah, thanks RCC. That is soooooo what we wanted when we said we like team interaction. Not.
And in the end - guess what? it all gets undone. Woohoo.
How many times did they think we would be able to take the, oh it doesn't matter, this is sci-fi, we can just make it so it didn't even happen thing??? Seriously?

These phrases i now HATE -
Nobody ever dies in sci-fi
it's sci-fi so we can do this kind of thing

ARGH!!!!!!
Respect the Fans by arse. I just can't believe there are still people sitting there saying, ooohhh shiny, that's such a neat idea, it'll be soooo good.

I loved Stargate, I've enjoyed SGA. But recently...its felt more like a train wreck, that i just can't help but watch.
All i can do is PRAY that the reaction that the plans get online are enough to make them think. OR that the actors, who i have the greatest respect for, finally turn around and tell the writers/producers/mens club that this is a REALLY S****Y idea.
*sighs* But i have a feeling the list of things that i can watch without wincing is going to go down even further. Damn it. What happened?
