weaselettlol - episode ten (noooo - so few left!!) -
I loved this episode!!! sooo much in it.
poor Ianto....but he did get the best line!! (of course, bananas are much more interesting) lol.
It was a very good episode for Owen and Jack. There was an amount of Gwen as well, but not as much, and not as insightful.
Jack - finally admitting to someone that he's from the future!! And that he's scared and he isn't quite how everyone else sees him. The scene in the car?? i was very close to tears. That image will stick, i have no doubt.
Owen - in LOVE!! and then she left him - poor thing - but she did warn him in a way - saying it was the next best thing to flying. She was never going to settle down and live in owen's world. But - there's always the memories. do have to wonder if she's going to reappear anywhere else....
another one about death - but it does it in a very different way (especially as the last big british show to cover this subject was one of the soap...which i had to watch as a part of my RE course....ick) making it sad, meaningful and showing the 'sides', it's all very subtle - but it's there, but it's not in your face, which is a very good thing.
I loved the whole shocked fifties peeps - we do live in a very different time - things have changed a lot faster in recent times than they used to, as far as the way society behaves is concerned. (nekkid rhys scaring poor emma - lol - and john and the magazines, i don't think Ianto's explanation helped much!!)
There wasn't much Tosh - but that's about normal - there always seems to be one of them who's in the 'background' or two in some cases.
all in all - a very good episode!
Next week looks interesting. Weevils!!!
