'tis still July

weaselettI almost went with a weather comment for the subject, but resisted (it is hot, we had three thunder storms today and it is still hot. I was surviving better in hotter in So Cal last year, but then that was with air con (the UK has minimal air con - like supermarkets and chain stores? Maybe 50% of hotels and restaurants. That's it.))
I hopefully all going well have my two references (after not hearing from other lecturer, who I thought would reply, I asked work peep who also happened to be my supervisor for my undergrad placement.....because that's as close to a good academic ref I am going to get? She finds stones boring so fully intends to poke me with stuff if I get it, and she knows all the peeps in the department I am applying to so bonus \o/).
Got cream when went for pre-patch test appointment. Cream is still making me itch almost 24 hours later. :( - so officially no standard moisturisers are good. (I am find with savlon, basic germaline and vaseline - any variants of those can be funny)
Watched the now standard 'live healthier and for less' show and was amused by the constant 'buy cheap coke' - mainly because that was a thing when I was a kid going to see specialists for migraine, and he had a bunch of kids who had migraines because of own brand coke, who were fine with expensive coke. (if you get migraines, do a food diary, just as a start - most people it's food related - not for me, but my food diary espec then was like 'I ate the same as yday' which was sadly true).
Have not got Pokemon Go! - apparently one of the other museums is a pokemon gym (and they are amused) we just have a few things dotted around us. (I don't fully understand it? I fail at being a youngish person? But I was totally digimon ;P)
I randomly encountered friend (best friend of 15 years ago before she moved schools) as she happened to be pokemon go'ing while visiting town. So. Stranger things ;)
