I watched Defenders (between all the varous other things I have going on, urgh) and URGH. Dang it.
Leaving it there is mean, even with it being what it was. (Vague weasel is vague :p)
It was good....I liked the way they built the team better than how cinematic did with the Avengers - and they finally did some of the things I had been expecting for a while.
And....I need a Matt icon. I will never not love Daredevil (but Charlie is totally my favourite Daredevil.)

Date: 2017-08-26 09:57 pm (UTC)I think the advantage of having a TV show is that you invariably have more time to work on team dynamics? Whereas with a movie you have a lot less time to work with, so you just toss them into a team and say go. And by all accounts, it's much better about keeping the members distinct in their motivations, ie not everyone buys into the team thing, and they all have separate motivations for participating.

Date: 2017-08-26 10:04 pm (UTC)I think it's more the way it was handled (Defenders could have been better? It's balanced a little oddly, but it does work better for keeping them to themselves, though their supporting peeps suffer a bit) - than anything - and defenders was only eight eps. It's still a little bit 'toss them in a team and make it work'. They don't quite sell it entirely, but it worked better than Avengers film arc (assemble alone isn't toooo bad, ultron is more the issue tbh with the films).
So yeah (avoiding major spoilery I think that's my best feelings about it...)
