Why I love Alec Hardison:
Hardison is the character that drew me into watching Leverage, the character that kept me watching through season one and the character I always connected the most with.
He's the open heart of the team - he feels the most on screen, if someone is going to be emotional, it's most likely to be Hardison. It's interesting, because in a lot of ways he takes a typically female character standpoint. Hardison doesn't intentionally talk down to people, he'll express disbelief, but he doesn't patronize. The guy's a genius, and in a lot of other shows, that tends to lead to talking down, but Hardison is not one of those genius's.
It's amazing to watch how he evolves and comes into his own over the course of the show - how he develops, and how much we get to see of him.
The Future of one Alec Hardison
One day, Alec Hardison is going to settle down and follow his Nana's example. The man will do up MC Hammer's old house, make it a kid's dream, and he'll fill it with a hole pack of foster kids. They don't need no gold plated toilets to be happy people, just love.
Hardison will still be a hacker, but he'll figure out how to do it from home, as best he can. Parker and Eliot will pop in and out, helping out with the kids, or bringing him new charges. All of his attempts to be the cool foster dad will turn out just as they should: the kids will have all these stories about 'that time pops ruined my life by....' to share for the rest of their lives.
