weaselettI am currently avoiding all of the casting spoilers and discussion there of for season four of Torchwood - the ones that may/may not be fake.
This isn't because I'm a spoilerphobe.
It's because the full version is seriously trigger-y (for me mildly, for other people it is likely to be much worse) and the comments on a few of the posts that I have seen are worse because of the nature of what some people are objecting to (i.e. people reacting like they're objecting cos Ianto isn't in it, when that isn't the reason some people are objecting- I am not harshing on anyone's squee over a new season, I am avoiding screaming at people for not warning for something that should be warned for and for making inappropriate comparisons/comments.
If you warn for slash, something you shouldn't warn for, but don't warn for that?!? Sorry just no.
So, this is me warning anyone on my friends list who hasn't seen that stuff, if you get triggered by anything regarding people who abuse children (best way at present I can think of wording it) stay away from the posts regarding torchwood season four casting spoilers.
This is all that I am going to say on the matter - the only point at which I might say something more will be when an official announcement appears (so from Starz, BBC or RTD).
So please, if you want to point me to any of that stuff, either don't, or give fair warning.
ETA - just to clarify, I'm just asking that fair warning be given in all cases when something relates to sensitive issues/could be triggery.
No one on my friends list has ever not warned, but having spent three days seeing links to something that I know relates to a sensitive issue, with no fair warning for people clicking these links that it contains possibly triggery stuff, I just felt I had to make my feelings on the matter known.
