Got internet back - permanently now - here at least though it's doubtful other home will be an issue ever as da has enough sense to know to keep the internet cooperative while I'm at home ;)
I didn't post though as you'll have noticed- as it came exactly five hours after my assignment hand in (an assignment that included INTERNET based work *mutters* so I had a fun weekend) - and I had been awake for 47 hours straight by the time I went to sleep (oh the insanity) so not especially coherent.
Nano is....coming along...but I have some serious work to do - but now the assignment is done - and all the rest is next term - I am free *yay*
Got back from my six straight hours of lectures and watched heroes *yay*:
Just had to post a little reaction cos - damn - this was a good episode (just week's episode just *winces* - it had it's moments - but I will not forgive how DL died - it was seriously LAME *pouts*)
Main thing - NOAH!!! I spent a full five minutes cursing after Mohinder shot him - was not at all happy - and silently informing them that he better hadn't be dead....cos that would not make me happy - HRG is one of the few characters I have liked the whole time (there was a little hate to begin with - but it was good hate *nods*).
Was very end when he be alive again (though it was a bit of a cop out - and now you know - they can bring ANYONE back *sighs*) - obviously they knew they wouldn't be loved if they waited a few episodes for a reveal...but it could have been interesting even if I am happier knowing now *g*
Still don't really like West - there also, should be more Lyle - he's the only Bennet to get barely any attention - forgive Claire - a bit but still not liking her as much.
It's going to be interesting to see how the thing with Elle runs it's course....
Have been keeping up with SGA, more out of habit than anything else:
Watched 'Missing' and 'The Seer' as a break from assignment writing - as I couldn't get hold of anything else I wanted to catch up on and honestly - still not feeling SGA anywhere near as much as I did.
Also - have still got to be sold on why Sam is there - thus far the Asurans haven't reappeared (and whenever they're mentioned/or stopping them is mentioned - RODNEY is the one questioned on it, cos you know, he knows their coding - so the reason for Sam being in Atlantis....is kinda pointless. *sighs*) - If they SOLD Sam's presence, I would be fine - but so far? She's barely around AND has yet to do more than Elizabeth ever did, in fact she's done LESS *sighs*
It showed in 'The Seer' as well - all respect to AT but she slipped into her Sanctuary voice a few times.
Didn't like 'Missing' I liked Keller better before - she was a bit too Rodney in that episode - also for some reason my brain has decided that she reminds me of the new girl in CSI:NY as well *looks confused* it might be the Montana thing...
The whole 'missing' Athosians thing bothers me - it's seems like an excuse for why they've been ignored for so long and for giving Teyla a new purpose. Teyla also seemed a little off in that episode (not just because of the situation) but *shrugs*
Am miffed by the sudden arrival of these never mentioned before evil peeps (oooo look it's evil cannibals who look like Celts! wow - soooo original - also the costumes didn't match the spoken lines - that or they were a mixed group from different tribes?) - you'd think if they were that bad Ronon and Teyla would have given a warning about them before - or someone would have heard of them....
Carson mention woo! Though, seriously, if they don't want us to be comparing Keller to him? They should stop making her the only one who mentions him *nods* Plus - best friend Rodney? Needs to mention Carson. Please. At some point. But still, there was mention of the 'fondly remembered' doctor.
Am loving Ronon this season though *g* - but seriously want John to step away from the proto-Jack O'Neill he has become *winces* - Rodney still good as well :) odd seeing him using the P90!! (that felt like an SG-1 moment - but can ignore that...)
'The Seer' - ummm, again a race that's never been mentioned before- but Teyla has known of forever *frowns* - also - Rachel/Teyla was very obviously pregnant by this point (it showed in Missing as well - the costume was a little too tight for it not to) so it's a hard sell to me that peeps wouldn't have noticed.
Sam = still waiting for proof of why you're hear hun. Woolsey - Huh? why is he in this episode - besides to provide extra possible conflict?
It was an ok episode - but generally didn't pull me in. Wish it hadn't ended up seeming so pointless (apart from the reveal of asurans killing peeps - which was kinda lost in the rest of it - the two storylines didn't gel so well).
I think SGA is better at the moment for peeps or never saw SG-1 (though Sam must be really confusing for them at times) and for the casual watchers. It's not terrible - but it's just hard for me to see all the good things when it's just not as good as it was starting to be.
Also - anyone who likes Doctor Who and hasn't been watching Sarah Jane Adventures? Seriously you are missing out *loves Luke* - it's a kids show yes - but so far? Has been consistantly good (unlike Torchwood or DW recently) and has a good sense of humour. Plus, it's Sarah Jane! lol. :)
