Stuff and thoughts

weaselettToday we went to see Hacksaw Ridge it's a good film and worth going to see - but it is gorey (and it looks more physical effects than CGI - just as potential trigger/squick warning)
Last week I did a family session based on a random art idea and it was enjoyed by all (and I got a few parents say 'never thought/seen this done before but it so good' so yay! completely new session that worked)
I have been watching Emerald City - two eps in and it's interesting so far.
Random criminal minds thoughts (yup, I kept watching, because mainly I wanted to see where they go with Tara/Luke/Stephen, sadly too little of them so far :()
I really want this to be the end arc for Spencer. I know that realistically where everyone has been all LOL silly Hotch peeps (seriously some real arseholes in the nohotchnowatch lot) if Reid goes a lot of viewers will go (but I kinda want to watch MGG's career....fail to go anywhere post CM - I know that's bad and all, but it just bothers me that this white creepy guy who had only modelled before this gets raised on such a platform, when he is soooooo problematic).
All they ever seem to do with Reid is give him manpain via hurting women. There is a seriously good story you could tell with his mom, but they have given her another illness on top of the existing one and it's just. *sighs*
Also I LOL'd hard at all the 'noooo Reid ain't like that' fandom and in show. I mean seriously, back in the glory days of CM fandom (up to s5 ended basically :/) Reid was everyone's top pick to become an unsub. Add in the fact he's the only one to agressively use profiling against his own friends.....yeah
AND they framed his flashbacks exactly like the Mr Scratch flashbacks in a way that screams he totally killed her, he might just have been off his head when he did.

On the Luke, Tara and Stephen front - Stephen has been used as the insert replacement for Hotch a lot (profiling 202, with the 'we have a long backstory and have been bffs for a while' angle and the contacts coming up.....) so we haven't really got anything but 'he plays jazz and is apparently a bamf'.
The new Reid focus - crime + mother storylines - mean that we likely aren't going to get anything but Reid and that sucks balls. We've had a lot of Reid. I know it's because they see him as the sell (notice how he is now the centre in the credits :/ ) but seriously we need to get to know these new characters, I want more Luke backstory. Or just more Luke, And more Tara being awesome.
It's the funeral this thursday, so I'm driving myself and the boy down - we'll say a kinda goodbye to the house we had all our holidays in as kids, and then that's it. Tis a massive end of an era and really weird.
And we are bossless at work (boss left, not replacement yet) and it's also weird and sad. So weird times all around!
