So - we always watch wimbledon, or the bits of it we can catch.

Me and Da are sad that we no longer get to watch any of the wheelchair games (prior to the beeb reducing the number of channels they have as extra viewing, we could select those games to watch - now we just know they are being played.) It makes me sad, because they are so good to watch, and you know, we have a lot of good british wheelchair tennis players to cheer on.

But apparently that is bunched in with all the other non-able body sports that are played but rarely televised (unless it's the paralympics or invictus). And almost all of the women's sports. *sighs*

Anyhoooo

We were watching Jamie Murray's doubles match last night (because he is our fav) and as it was gettin tense Lola decided that she really needed to pat the players on the tv on the face. So we were duel telling her not to attack our players, and trying to figure out what was actually happening on screen behind the mass of maine coon fluff. (When she's no longer a kitten we will have no hope.....or maybe we should get a bigger tv??)

Sadly I did not have my camera, I shall try and get pics of her and her random tv attacks at some point.

Me and Ma also keep dropping in comments about male v female players as Da is of the 'men more hard core' opinion, and the whining about men's doubles being dropped to three sets meaning that they actually had to start playing seriously straight off made it so mean was hilarious.

These are the people who think the women are lesser players? When by their own opinion 'the best' male players can't win three set matches cos it doesn't give them time to work up to full form *face palm*

In other news, I am working on making bags and found some strapping that is perfect to make a little Benton Fraser inspired bag. <3

(My sat nav is getting a Brian Blessed 'Gordon's ALIVE' bag because I brought the Brian Blessed voice (aka the reason I used my gift voucher to get a tomtom *coughs*)I am a massive geek)

I am applying for a funded PhD *flails* it's local, so no moving, and it's in my field of preference (fairly old stones). (And the yearly funding grant is more than I currently earn full time wage....)
I am also applying for a place on a masters course at a scary impressive industry links uni for next year - those are my two options for the future, and if I don't get the PhD there will be the masters (MSc this time, and more specialised, because I regret just doing general when I did my MA :(, and massively practical based)
