Okay - so my bulb blew (and tripped out all the lights in the house - and the fuse box is in a tiny room under the stairs that opens out into the kitchen right next to the second fridge *sighs*) - then we tried another bulb and it blew and the boy housemate says the circuits dead.

*meep* am now paranoid that it'll start a fire or something - or....something

And it's too late to call the land lady today - so will have to do that tomo - and don't know what she'll think/how she'll react. *sighs*

Also - am watching Dexter (ma mentioned it *shrugs*) it's interesting so far and good *nods*

Now I shall go back to glaring at the light fitting.
