student life
Mar. 5th, 2006 09:23 pmThe heating died a terrible death friday - so the boys are ambling around with hats, that look like they came from jayne's mom on their heads, in shorts (i really don't want to know how that piece of male student wisdom works...) while the girls are wrapped in varying amounts of blanket, apart from me - am stubbornly not admiting to being that cold, even if i did make the effort to put socks on - 'sides the laptop heats the bed, so, am fairly warm personally. lol. The microwave is also dead (why, i don't want to know, i just is) and the oven made my pizza smell like smoke (Alan burns things and drips fat everywhere - there was much smoke (stings the eyes *nods*) but nothing burnt - 'sides the inside of the oven, which i'm certain is a hybrid of oven and, fat stuff.
In other news - mam insulted House (while saying it was good *head desk*) only to get corrected by da (she thinks it's the same every week, some sick person comes in, House figures out what's wrong, said sick person gets better), with a perfectly logical argument (CSI's the same every week - someone dies, they say how they died), sometimes i worry about the sanity of my parentals. Not as much as their son however - who discovered (with his new car, mark 5#) that engine and water not mix - he had an oil leak and felt the need to clean his engine, car now no longer works, Da is highly entertained, and so am i, especially considering the fact Boy thinks he knews more about cars than me, and he did electronics, at A level, even got a C, and yet doesn't know that Electronics and water don't mix. Anyone else worried about the state of the education system? *lol*
Oh well. lol. back to Inspired....
