crime shows

And my cushion is almost finished....*coughs* - yeah I watched the Criminal Minds finale (I am seriously running out of shows, mentalist finishes soon as well....hmmm, how long till Haven and Lost Girl are on? I know Leverage is soon)
also I finished watching Luther last week and forgot to flail COS DUDE THAT WAS EPIC - though I swear the last line was also the last line of an episode of something else....possibly something Harkness said...IDK - and I have been watching King, am saving episode 5, until I have a few more to watch, I like watching stuff in blocks
Luther and King are both worth watching, for entirely different reasons, though they both have amazing main characters and interesting dynamics.
So, back to the criminal minds finale
My favourite two things about this episode? Morgan and Rossi (Morgan seriously has issues with owing people, you save his ass, he's got to save yours afterwards) andking Swan and Hotch.
I most especially loved Swan's 'all that from a pair of missing sneakers' comment about Hotch
Things I didn't like? The dodgy shot of JJ's legs (that shot, but her in trousers? I'd be more ok with) and the fact that Rossi and Morgan's dialogue at the scene initially should have been swapped (Rossi's the cult guy, he doesn't need Morgan correcting him, all that needed to happen is morgan having suggested cult, and Rossi saying no, yes I'm nitpicky, but the profilers used to have their different specialist subjects, now it's all clouded).
Also, I would bet money that they KNEW Shemar would be coming back (the fact that he straight off says no to the idea of leaving, but they have the anvil of 'will Hotch be back?').
I actually liked this episode more than the last one, and it felt more like a criminal minds episode, even if it did suffer from a distinct lack of real profiling, again (apart from Hotch in the UC's apartment).
I flagged the girl as unsub (it was subtle, but not, at the same time). Rossi's slow reaction reminded me a lot of Penelope (when he and Hotch totally failed at not tipping Battle off that they knew, it's like those scenes where they're on surveillance with the epically huge lens cameras, in cars without blacked out windows and within clear sight of the person they're watching, which happens so much in crime shows). I may have giggled a little at the overly slow dawn on everyone (Hotch and Swan being all 'somethings not right....hang on.....noooooo DAVE' *coughs* Hotch/Rossi is on my list ;p)
The only thing was, I didn't get how the girl thought she would get away with it, considering the fact that she didn't kill the UC, Renee, who knew who she was....
That said, it was nice to see Garcia - and Kevin (the farm (sheep, but no wool *pets*) plus 'who the hell keeps texting you every day?' 'him' *SNORTS* ok so I pair everyone, shut up ;p)- even if we didn't get much of Reid or Seaver.
Next season will be interesting, but I don't have quite the 'want it now' reaction that I had with Castle *g*
