I finally got the nerve up to write and send the email I had putting off - and got a positive reply, really quickly.....

Now I just need to man up and write a PhD proposal....to the outline given (this means some amount of poking around to but the project in context...anyone knows any recent references for community archaeology, or landscape theory stuffs <3 )
