I hope people who live in the areas flooded are ok/have gotten to a safe place - and I am really hoping that the rain ends soon. And the storm names are still taking time to get used to (some of the names, Nigel and Steve, workmate was disappointed that this one isn't Dave....)
I just barely managed to get home from work (so glad I am not due in until tuesday now - there is no way I could get in tomorrow). I work in Lancaster, and live v close to the River Wyre - but not the bit of the river with the severe flood warning, that bit is between me and work (I had to do the motorways in a storm, in the dark because the M6 and M55 are unlit motorways - but not completely flooded, the main bonus as the other ways home are flooded). Lancaster is now almost cut off, its just so wet.
It really sucks for Cumbria, North Lancashire, the edge of yorkshire and southern scotland at the moment, I just hope everyone has safe places to go, and that this doesn't stick around for too much longer (the month has been enough). It will be a pretty sucky holiday period if it does :/
